Speaking at a press conference, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, S.P. Pani said that action is being taken aginst thsese handles.
Jammu and Kashmir Principal Secretary (Planning) Rohit Kansal has categorically denied reports in the media about firing by security agencies.
Addressing media in Srinagar, Kansal said that the police carried out a detailed briefing on such reports.
He reiterated that no firing incident has taken place in J&K and said that not a single bullet has been fired by the security agencies nor has there been any casualty.
Meanwhile, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval interacted with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF personnel in the state who are working for 16 to 17 hours a day.
The NSA appreciated their commitment and spirit and lauded their hard work.
He also complimented the excellent cooperation between J&K Police, CRPF, Army, BSF and all security agencies in maintaining peace and normalcy in the state.
